How to Identify Your Thermocouple Type
It is important to be able to tell what type of thermocouple you have when changing out old or bad thermocouples. If the wrong thermocouple or wrong wire is used, the controller's temperature readings will not be accurate. This can cause a major overfire if the controller is connected to a thermocouple type it isn't set for.
